Remember that saying ? “ Breakfast is the most important meal of the day “ And yes it’s true while most of us tend to skip this very important meal of the day.

Here’s 5 reasons why you should never skip breakfast again.


1. Essential Nourishment

Eating breakfast helps you start the day off right because it provides your body with essential vitamins & minerals , we can refer to it as our Fuel . Like a car , your body cannot function without fuel . Also keep in mind breakfast doesn't mean grabbing a cup of coffee and a doughnut. The core of a good breakfast is foods such as whole grains ,protein such as peanut butter , lean meat , poultry , fish or eggs ,yogurt ,parfaits ,smoothies and fresh or frozen fruits & vegetables .


2. Increased energy

Think about this … if you eat dinner at 6 o'clock at night then you get up around 7 o'clock in the morning , you’ve gone 13 hours without food . Skip breakfast and you're looking at 18hrs without food . Going that long without meals deprives your body of the fuel it needs to function well. Eating breakfast fuels your brain and your body and provides the glucose it needs to function properly and fight fatigue. If you don't eat breakfast your energy will be noticeably diminished .


3. Improved Concentration

Eating a good breakfast helps to keep you alert and productive throughout the morning. It improves concentration , creativity , coordination and problem solving . Breakfast also gives you the energy to be more physically active.


4. Better Mood

When you're hungry , you tend to be more grumpy and irritable . Your body is running on empty as it needs fuel . And this affects your entire system . Please Do yourself and everyone around you a favor each day … Eat Breakfast …as no one wants to be around you if you’re not in a good mood.


5. Family Time

If you’re around your family living together take advantage of this opportunity to be with them together. This is the perfect time to sit down with them and enjoy it with the people you love. Also a good way to establish that habit of eating a well-balanced meal together .When you eat breakfast regularly you build that foundation for a healthier life as you are more likely to consume a healthier diet overall.
